Mocha Ice Blended
Beat the Heat: An easy to make mocha ice blended for a relaxing afternoon

This is my very cheap and fuss free way to enjoy mocha ice blended at home. It can’t get any simpler than this. How simple? I just put everything in blender and blend for a few seconds. I’m a lazy and short cut cook. So this recipe is not really authentic, I think “real” mocha ice blended uses coffee shots or at least coffee beans. But the taste is good! And at least I get to enjoy mocha ice blended at a fraction of the price outside, in the comfort of my home and with minimal effort :)

I love Mocha but always drink it hot here cos it’s cold most of the time. But I like iced ones when back home in Malaysia.

I love mocha! Sometimes I made it real sinful by using chocolate ice-cream instead of cocoa powder.

love the idea. makes it extra velvety and rich… I like sinful :)

Smart on using up instant coffee for this! Haven’t had this in a very long time. When I do it’s usually outside, since I don’t have cocoa or chocolate syrup.

If I decide to use Gloria Jean’s coffee powder instead of 3-in-1 instant coffee, may I know how much coffee powder must I use? Thank you.

Reply

41 wiffy October 22, 2010 at 9:07 pm

Hi Kitty, I’ve not tried Gloria Jean’s coffee powder before. Maybe you can start with 1 tbsp and adjust from there. May need to add a bit more sugar since it’s not 3-in-1 :)
