In celebration of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 which is opening in Singapore on 10 October, Noob Cook is excited to partner with Sony Pictures Singapore to create my very own foodimal recipe. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 is a sequel to the highly successful 2009 hit animation comedy. In this latest adventure, the movie characters will be battling food-animal hybrids (aka “foodimals”) such as tacodile, hippotatomus and cheespider, just to name a few. After watching the trailer, I am inspired to create some foodimals. This recipe is very easy to make and perfect for bento beginners. The end result is cute, colourful and healthy, appealing to both kids and kids at heart.

Foodimals Bento Recipe

Octodog Quailrious Mouse
Beemato Foodimals Bento
The foodimals that make up the bento are entirely edible. They are either held together using mayonnaise or small cuts to slot in the various parts (no hidden toothpicks). Use your creativity to decorate the bento to make it a balanced and visually appealing meal. I used sushi rice coated with pink sakura denbu (sweet fish powder), diced omelette, boiled edamame and raspberries.
