I'm a fellow singaporean leavinf overseas. I chanced upon this wonderful website that transports me back to the old motherland ;-) each time i get on it. Thank you so much for all your lovely posts. I have been totally inspired by your enthusiasm and lovely pics of the dishes you cooked.
A lot of your dishes are very similar to what i have been brought up eating and everytime i feel homesick i visit your blog.

Thanks for the inspiration and keep cooking and posting!

By the way, which part of the world are you living in now?

Best regards

Hello!
My bf loves this dish so much his eyes practically sparkle whenever I tell him I'm gonna make it for him. I've made it using a diff recipe but urs is definitely simpler (less ingredients) so I'm gonna try it and see if it's just as good or even better. Love the fact it contains so little and yet taste so dang good!

I'm glad u like it! great idea about adding a bit butter, I will try it next time. In my opinion nothing much can go wrong with this much pepper & sesame oil hehe, this is a guilty pleasure dish for me.

So I had the chance to make over the weekend, minus the celery & bell peppers, and it's really really goooddd!
I modified it a little (added butter) so I could have more sauce.
I think the ginger & the sesame oil made it yummy :D
