Aglio Olio

My fave pasta is also the simplest type to make (compared to tomatoes/cream-based pasta). And this is perhaps the only dish which I don’t mind drenched in (good o olive) oil … such bliss ;)

Ingredients
(Serves 1)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp chopped garlic
3 button mushrooms, cut to small chuncks (or sliced thinly if you prefer)
1/2 cup chopped fresh english parsley
100g spaghetti/linguine
chilli flakes (optional)
salt

Directions
Fill pot with water, vegetable oil & salt and boil pasta in it till al dente. Drain. In a saucepan, heat olive oil and stir fry chopped garlic, parsley, chilli flakes & salt till fragrant. Add the mushrooms and stir fry till cooked (you can also add in other ingredients like prawns). Add pasta and toss till the parsley and garlic are spread out evenly. Serve.

Update::
Oh, even the hamsters are not left out in the pasta action! They lurrveee slurping boiled pasta…

    i last did my pasta wifout heating up the olive oil & it tasted kinda gross
